Twitch Streamer Kai Cenat Rejects Kamala Harris’ Campaign Outreach, Dismisses Political EngagementTwitch Streamer Kai Cenat Rejects Kamala Harris’ Campaign Outreach, Dismisses Political Engagement
Twitch sensation Kai Cenat has disclosed that he has turned down several collaboration requests from Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign, attributing his decisions to a lack of interest in political matters. The revelations came during an August 6 livestream session, where Cenat openly discussed the campaign’s persistent attempts to engage with him.
In a segment of the livestream titled “BOUGHT A NEW HOUSE / HOUSE TOUR / CLICK HERE / ELITE GAMER / BIGGEST DWARF / ATHLETE,” which is still ongoing at the time of writing, Cenat expressed his frustration with the campaign’s outreach. A montage of clips from the stream, shared by internet content aggregator @FearBuck, captures Cenat’s candid reaction. “On top of that, I’ve got the f–king secret service calling me five times, n–a! I don’t know god damn s–t about politics! I don’t know nothing!” he exclaimed.
Cenat, known for his unfiltered commentary, further stated, “Aye, I’mma keep it a stack. I’mma go ahead and say it. I don’t give a f–k. Okay?” He elaborated on his experience with the campaign’s efforts to harness his influence, sharing an anecdote about a former acquaintance who had contacted him with a proposal related to the campaign. “Listen, I had a bad b—h that I been trying to get on for like, the last three…the last two years, that I haven’t spoke to in like a year. I haven’t spoke to this girl in so god damn long, and she had the audacity to text me ‘We need you a part of the campaign,’” Cenat recounted.
Initially mistaking the message for an invitation related to a video game or a fashion brand, Cenat was surprised to learn that it pertained to political campaigning. “At first I thought she was talking about like a game, a video game, a modern warfare game, or some s–t. Or if not that, a clothing brand. I’m like ‘What campaign?’” he said.
Despite his ongoing stream containing more details, the session’s live status means that further specifics about Cenat’s interactions with the campaign remain unverified. Cenat’s dismissive attitude towards the political outreach was clear as he added, “I’mma say it right now. If this someway, somehow, something happens and I go into streaming politics? I’m going to be 100% honest. I’m going to sit on my stream, and say ‘Why did you guys call me?’”
The revelation of Cenat’s rejection of political engagement comes in the wake of another high-profile streaming event. Just one day prior, streamer Adin Ross hosted a controversial interview with former President Donald Trump on his channel, during which Ross gifted Trump a Rolex Day-Date watch and a Cybertruck decorated with a mural of Trump’s post-assassination attempt fist pump.
While Cenat did not explicitly name Kamala Harris, the nature of the campaign’s outreach and the timing suggest that Harris’ team may be behind the efforts to engage with him.
