Chepkoech, on the other hand, faced a disappointing outcome. The world record holder finished in sixth place with a time of 9:04.24. This result adds to her previous Olympic finishes of fourth, seventh, and sixth, casting doubt on her prospects for the 2028 Los Angeles Games. At 33, Chepkoech may find it challenging to achieve her long-sought Olympic dream.
